Plot Outline: Follows the cross-country adventures of the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun authorities who suspect them of being terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board their flight to Amsterdam.
Plot: The morning they return from their White Castle road trip, Harold and Kumar decide to go to Amsterdam because Harold doesnt want to wait ten days to see Maria again. On the plane, Kumar lights up his new bong, the air marshals think its a bomb, and Harold and Kumar are arrested as terrorists and sent to Guantanamo Bay. Ordered to fellate a guard, they manage to escape, make their way to Florida, and head for Texas to find Kumars ex-girlfriends fiancй, the well-connected Colton, and get him to intercede with Washington on their behalf. Kumar still has a thing for Vanessa, the feds are in hot pursuit, and the legal weed of Amsterdam seems a long way away.

They were happy they could include in the film a poem they loved while growing up, and Feinberg was thrilled to make a contribution to the film.

Amnesty International USA was highly critical of the films satirical depiction of the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp, commenting on their website that “Guantanamo is no joke.” The organizations membership was encouraged to hand out fliers and fact sheets at theatrical screenings to bring attention to the alleged human rights abuses that have occurred at the camp.

Plot Outline: The survivors of a plane crash are forced to live with each other on a remote island, a dangerous new world that poses unique threats of its own.
Plot: After a mysterious and bloody airplane crash, 48 survivors are left stranded on a Pacific Island… miles off course. It soon becomes apparent that they will not have to cope only with the forces of nature, but with the islands secrets, including the Dharma Initiative, the Lost Numbers, the “others” (or hostiles) and the strange black smoke- to name a few. There is also much more than meets the eye, as it becomes apparent that everyone is connected in some way and that everyone has a purpose to live on the island… and for some, to die.

Plot Outline: With their warning about Lord Voldemorts return scoffed at, Harry and Dumbledore are targeted by the Wizard authorities as an authoritarian bureaucrat slowly seizes power at Hogwarts.

The title role was written with W.C. Fields in mind. Producer Mervyn LeRoy wanted Ed Wynn, who turned down the role. MGM executive Arthur Freed wanted Fields, and offered him $75,000. Fields supposedly wanted $100,000. According to a letter from Fields agent (which he claimed was written by Fields) Fields turned down the role to devote his time to writing the script for You Cant Cheat an Honest Man (1939).

Ray Bolger was originally cast as the Tin Woodsman. However, he insisted that he would rather play the Scarecrow – his childhood idol, Fred Stone had originated that role on stage in 1902.

Plot Outline: Due to a political conspiracy an innocent man is sent to death row and his only hope is his brother who makes it his mission to deliberately get himself sent to the same prison in order to break the both of them out from the inside out.
Plot: An engineer (Wentworth Miller) installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to help his brother (Dominic Purcell), a death-row inmate who insists he did not commit the crime for which he has been sentenced to die and help him escape.

There are design changes in the US Dollar bills so how are they going to use the buried five million? While there have been several design changes to US currency, this does not mean the money cannot be used. It is still considered legal tender. However, money taken in the D.B. Cooper heist just showing up all of a sudden in circulation would be a little eye-brow raising.

Plot Outline: Harry finds himself selected as an underaged competitor in a dangerous multi-wizardary school competition.
Plot: Harrys fourth year at Hogwarts is about to start and he is enjoying the summer vacation with his friends. They get the tickets to The Quidditch World Cup Final but after the match is over, people dressed like Lord Voldemorts Death Eaters set a fire to all the visitors tents, coupled with the appearance of Voldemorts symbol, the Dark Mark in the sky, which causes a frenzy across the magical community. That same year, Hogwarts is hosting The Triwizard Tournament, a magical tournament between three well-known schools of magic : Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. The contestants have to be above the age of 17, and are chosen by a magical object called Goblet of Fire. On the night of selection, however, the Goblet spews out four names instead of the usual three, with Harry unwittingly being selected as the Fourth Champion. Since the magic cannot be reversed, Harry is forced to go with it and brave three exceedingly difficult tasks.

Alfonso Cuarón was offered the chance to direct this installment in the series, but declined as he would still be working on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004).

Mike Newell (I) decided against the studios original idea of adapting the extremely long book into two separate films to be released several months apart, figuring that he could cut enough of the books bulky subplots to make a workable film. It was Alfonso Cuarón, the director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), who convinced him.

Mike Newell (I) turned down directing The Constant Gardener (2005) to direct this film.

Plot Outline: A FedEx executive must transform himself physically and emotionally to survive a crash landing on a deserted island.
Plot: After FedEx systems engineer Chuck Noland is ripped out of his hasty life by the clock in a plane crash, he finds himself alone on the shores of a tropical island. First, frustration gets to him and then he realizes how little his chances are to ever get back to civilisation. Four years later, Chuck has learned very well how to survive on his own: mending his dental health, catching fish with a spear, predicting the weather with a selfmade calendar. A photograph of his girlfriend Kelly has kept his hopes alive all these years. Finally, Chuck takes the opportunity to take off for home: He sets off on a wooden raft with a sail that has washed ashore.

Production was halted for a year so Tom Hanks could lose fifty pounds and grow out his hair for his time spent on the deserted island. During this hiatus, Robert Zemeckis used the same crew to film What Lies Beneath (2000).

Virtually all the sound, including dialog, in the scenes on the island – about an hour and a half of screen time – had to be replaced in post-production. Sound man William B. Kaplan made a valiant attempt at getting usable sound on the island, but the nearby surf made it impossible, given that many of the scenes needed to be very quiet.
