• Was originally conceived as an animated series.
• The first season episodes were not aired in the order intended by the shows creators. This is suggested by the episodes production numbers which are displayed on the Sci-Fi channels Eureka website next to episode titles quite often. There are some small inconsistencies when watched closely, but such inconsistencies are minimal and were intentionally controlled. In podcast commentaries with the shows creators and star Colin Ferguson, they confirm that the production order is in fact the order they intended the show to air, but the network executives changed the order to try and place stronger episodes earlier in the run as to help attract viewers. Plot Outline: A young English boy struggles to survive under Japanese occupation during World War II.
Plot: Based on J. G. Ballards autobiographical novel, tells the story of a boy, James Graham, whose privileged life is upturned by the Japanese invasion of Shanghai, December 8, 1941. Separated from his parents, he is eventually captured, and taken to Soo Chow confinement camp, next to a captured Chinese airfield. Plot Outline: As a Washington psychiatrist unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, she also discovers her son might be the only way it can be stopped.
Plot: While returning to Earth, the space-bus explodes and the fragments bring an alien virus that recodes the human DNA. In Washington, the psychiatrist Carol Bennell observes the modification of the behavior of one of her clients first, then in her former husband and finally in the population in general. Plot: In “The Andromeda Strain,” a U.S. military satellite crashes in a small town and unleashes a deadly plague killing all but two survivors. As the military quarantines the area, a team of highly specialized scientists is assembled to find a cure to the pathogen code-named “Andromeda,” and a reporter investigates a government conspiracy only to discover what he is chasing wants him silenced.

Factual errors: When the helicopter with the scientists goes to the secret base, it is visible through the helicopter windows that one of the F-16s escorts them. This is impossible, because the F16 has a stall speed of about 250 mph while that helicopter has a max. speed of only 135mph – a difference greater than 100 mph.

Plot Outline: As the reappearance of 4,400 missing persons on a single day confounds the global community, federal agents on the case slowly discover the ways in which the victims have been changed.
Plot: These are the stories of 4400 abductees after they are returned to Earth. People dealing with traumatic changes, driven by the mystery of what happened and why. Some of them have been affected in mysterious ways, and some will have certain abilities, both good and bad. The pilot has a ball of light sailing towards Earth. But rather than the expected catastrophic event, thousands of returned abductees are left with no memory of their otherworldly experiences. Each has been gone anywhere from a few months to several decades but hasnt aged a day.

• When the producers were conceiving of the series, the secret of who had abducted the 4400 was supposed to be revealed in the fifth season. USA had picked the show up as a miniseries and wanted it to have some resolution, so the secret was revealed in the fifth episode.
